Naomi Watts and Andrew Lincoln star in Penguin Bloom, a new drama about a family who take in an injured magpie that ends up making a profound difference in their lives.
Also starring Jacki Weaver and Rachel House, Penguin Bloom is directed by Glendyn Ivin.
Firstly, nice trailer. Second, I’m very interested in seeing how this story plays out. Particularly Watt’s characters journey through the five stages of grief.
I’m also curious about if and when a C.G.I. magpie was used, and excited to see Watts and Lincoln onscreen together. The latter of whom I’ve been a fan of ever since Teachers (2001-2003) – before he went stateside and starred in The Walking Dead.
Gia Carides, Leeanna Walsman, Lisa Hensley, Randolph Fields, Lisa Hensley and Donat Balaj also star.
Penguin Bloom Release Dates: January 27th, 2021 (US)…

Rick! Haven’t seen him in anything since he left the show I don’t think?
Neither have I. I guess he needed a break. 🤓 I think this looks good; a bit sad but good.
