A new unexpectedly refreshing trailer just landed. One that has a very promising cast that happens to be largely female.
Directed by Nia DaCosta, The Marvels stars Brie Larson, Iman Vellani, Teyonah Parris and Samuel L. Jackson in a follow-up to 2019’s Captain Marvel.
Outside of the rather recent Wakanda Forever (2022), it’s been a while since I committed to watching more than just the trailer of new superhero movies. Today however, I find myself curious about the dynamic between the younger and the more established female superheroes in this trailer. I mean, I’m certainly a fan of Iman Vellan and the energy she brings to her role as as Ms. Marvel.
If there’s a chance for a new superhero movie to pull me back in, perhaps it’s this one. Has this trailer had a similar effect on you?
Zawe Ashton, Park Seo-joon, Mohan Kapur, Caroline Simonnet Kamara Benjamin Barnett, Michael Oladele and Tony McCarthy also star.
The Marvels Release Dates: November 10th, 2023 (US); November 2023 (UK)…
Happy Film Loving

Thanks for sharing this idea

My pleasure! 😊
G, I like how you worded it regarding whether or not a new superhero movie could pull you back in. I’ve been very disappointed in the recent Marvel theatricals but this trailer has me extremely hopeful that come November we all might be wowed by this one. Great trailer.
Amen! Amen to our hopes for this movie. It would be great for our faith to be restored.I look forward to hopefully seeing this in the movie theatre. That’s of course unless I encounter a review headline that suggests such a decision would be ill-advised. 🤓
It looks entertaining, but so did Thor: Love & Rockets 😉
You’re not wrong. Thanks for the giggle. 😁
Certainly looks more fun than it should. I’m checking it out for sure!
Indeed it does. Here’s to hoping that the finished result delights us all. 🥂🙏
I really enjoyed the trailer. Not sure about Brie Larson and comedy though much as I love her it just doesn’t come naturally to some people.
I do wish they had shown more of Zawa Ashton she looked totally badass in the little we saw of her— and I have a theory that end scene where they are fighting Carol it’s actually going to be her! Plus the cat! And Ms. Marvel had the most appropriate reaction to him I’ve seen yet 🙂
I love that there’s a lot to look forward to finding out, and the editors have delivered on the ‘teaser’ element of this trailer, considering Zawe.
As for Larson, perhaps she’ll surprise us, most pleasantly us. 🤞🤞
Maybe! 😀 Let me know what you think of it. 😀
