The violence in Deadpool & Wolverine is as gratuitous as it is delightful and fun with a capital F! Especially with such remarkable fight choreography, style, music and dialogue – not to mention the smartly hued fake blood.
Director Shawn Levy’s film would be almost perfect, for me, if it weren’t for that one character who was a delight to see until they started to speak. My, my, did I get woken up from the wonderful world of a movie I was so fully immersed in. Luckily, a much-needed quip I wish had come a bit sooner did what it could to alleviate some of the unease caused by this bubble-burster of an occurrence. One forced upon an unsuspecting audience who were in the throes of that pure, cinematic joy the movie created.
Thankfully, said character didn’t speak for too long, and there was another surprise character I was so happy to see that I could continue to enjoy the rest of the movie. Several unexpected characters turn up in Deadpool & Wolverine. Not everyone’s favourite will be the same, but all the characters are fun.
Since the release of Deadpool & Wolverine, phrases similar to ‘pure cinematic joy’ have been thrown around more than once when describing the experience of watching Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s record-breaking summer hit. ‘Fully accurate’ is my response to those descriptions. So, get yourself a slice of the action. You deserve it!
Happy Film Loving,

I saw it two days ago. It’s worth the wait. Do you think they’ll make another one?
Since money talks and this is a huge well-executed success, then absolutely. I’d definitely watch another.
Ketchup and Mustard did great! 😀
Didn’t they?! 😁 Suddenly I want another hotdog. 🤓
I heard it was a riot!
Very much so! It will put a smile on your face, I’m sure. 🤓
I think I got my hopes up a little to high for this one.
😁I felt similarly before watching it. 😁 But then it starts and, you know… J.O.Y! 😁 I know I’m not helping. Sorry about that. It may not be perfect but it’s unlikely that most people are largely wrong. I hope you enjoy it too. 🤞🤞
Oh, no, I meant I did get my hopes up too high. I’ve already seen it. There are some really amazing scenes, but I felt most of the movie was just another average-ish Marvel-ish instalment. I guess it’s pure joy for those who love Marvel. 😊
Films are always horses for courses, because they’re like art and thus subjective.

I see! 😁 High expectations can let us down indeed. All I really wanted was a good time with this one. Generally, I’ve been fatigued by superhero movies for a while. However, for me, Deadpool is a smile/joy-inducing character and my expectations of a largely fun film were met and arguably exceeded because of the well-known surprise characters.
A great review. I appreciate the honesty. I am definitely looking forward to seeing this film soon. I’m a big fan of Wolverine and love the way he has been depicted in movies. For instance, I adored how he was depicted in the movie “Logan”. Here is why I loved that movie:
Fun review! Great to see Hugh back as Wolverine.
Thank you. 🙏 He is great, as expected. 🤓
Ah thanks, I was not going to see it, but will go now for the gratuitous violence :))
Glad to be of assistance. Enjoy! 😁
please assist away.. heheh..
