Ke Huy Quan, Ariana DeBose and Daniel Wu have a new Jonathan Eusebio-directed action/comedy called Love Hurts.
Quan plays a realtor who finds himself pulled back into a life he tried to leave behind after a former partner-in-crime sends him an ominous message.
This one has brought on a strong sense of deja vu for me for three reasons. Firstly, The Family Plan (2023). Second, the ‘siblings as enemies dynamic’, which reads as very A History of Violence (2005), a great movie, by the way. Thirdly, a slight whiff of John Wick, naturally.
It’s mainly my curiosity about how different this will be from The Family Plan which will likely be the reason I watch.
What are your thoughts about Love Hurts?
Sean Astin, Mustafa Shakir, Lio Tipton, Rhys Darby, Marshawn Lynch, André Eriksen, Cam Gigandet, Stephanie Sy and Kara Myskiw also star.
Love Hurts Release Dates: February 7th, 2025 (US & UK)…

“Jackie Chan” and “Been there, done that” were the thoughts that came up for me. I’m interested because I’d like to see Quan do well.
I can certainly see why. The dynamic between Quan’s character and Rose looks rather fun.
I think I’d enjoy it –
It does look fun. 🤓
I’m now looking forward to this one. Haven’t seen Family Plan, but I really liked History of Violence. Of course I love John Wick and pretty much anything from the director or producers of it.
It looks like this was made just for you. I’m sure it will be fun. 🤓
Looking forward to this one. Looks like a lot of fun. 😊
Fun sounds about right. 🤓
