Many Fans of Stephen King’s work are happy because one of his popular novellas, The Life of Chuck, has been turned into a drama/fantasy/sci-fi movie starring Tom Hiddleston, Karen Gillan and Chiwetel Ejiofor.
Directed and co-written by Mike Flanagan, the genre-bending tale shares three chapters in the life of an ordinary man named Charles Krantz.
I hadn’t heard of The Life of Chuck until very recently. Post-teaser trailer viewing a couple of months ago, there wasn’t much of a pull to watch it. Well, except that it stars one of my favourites, Monsieur Hiddleston.
This new trailer has me curious. It also brings to mind Kenneth Branagh’s Cinderella (2015), which I love. This new movie’s implied theme of kindness must be part of the reason.
What do you think? Which movie does this one remind you of?
Jacob Tremblay, Mia Sara, Molly C. Quinn, Samantha Sloyan, David Dastmalchian, Mark Hamill, Matthew Lillard, Rahul Kohli, Carl Lumbly, Saidah Arrika Ekulona, Sauriyan Sapkota and Franklin Ritch also star.
The Life of Chuck Release Dates: June 6th, 2025 (US)…
Happy Film Loving,

I had not heard about the book or the movie being made. Mark Hamill looks almost unrecognizable. I love it. Looks promising!
King has written so many books that he’ll likely continue to surprise us many years after he’s gone.
How quickly Jacob Tremblay has grown up. This should be good.
Yes, and yes. 🤓
Looks great! Amazing how music can help a trailer!😉 It kinda gives me a little Forest Gump vibe?
Absolutely. Movies wouldn’t be as magical without music. It looks like a movie about a kind-hearted human. Very Forrest Gump. 😊
