2019’s Ready or Not, the horror/comedy film in which a bride’s wedding night becomes a terrifying game of hide and seek has a sequel.
Starring Samara Weaving, Elijah Wood, Kathryn Newton and Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ready or Not 2 – Here I Come follows Grace (Weaving) after surviving the deadly game, only to learn it’s far from over.
I remember watching the trailer for Ready or Not (2019) and being curious about the premise and the horror/comedy angle. Admittedly, I never got around to watching directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett’s film. Though now, I’m more likely to after seeing that it scored rather highly with critics and fans.
I also like the Weaving and Newton pairing. Bring on the badass sisters, I say!
Have you seen Ready or Not, the first instalment?
Shawn Hatosy, Varun Saranga, Juan Pablo Romero, Kevin Durand, David Cronenberg, Nestor Carbonell, Maia Jae, Olivia Cheng, Masa Lizdek and Dan Beirne also star.
Ready Or Not 2 – Here I Come Release Dates: April 10th, 2026 (US & UK)…
Happy Film Loving,
G
It’s heavy on the red stuff, but it does look fun.
Agreed. 🤓 Whenever the idea of movies that feature plenty of blood comes to mind, I get a flashback of the great corridor chase sequence in Revenge (2018).
I thought the first film was really well done. Good pace, editing, the right amount of humor, terror and gore. Weaving was terrific. I’m looking forward to this new one regardless, but this trailer doesn’t do that original movie justice. I do hope this upcoming release will get those who didn’t see the first one give it a watch (you!). I am looking forward to this one even though the trailer gives me pause…only in comparison to the first one.
‘Good pace,’ ‘right amount of humour,’ ‘well done…’ These are all words I love to hear. Thanks for confirming, Monsieur Chess. 🤓🥂
The first Ready or Not was a lot of fun. Though it’s better to avoid the trailer since it gives too much away. The sequel should be just as entertaining.
Excellent! Everyone who’s seen it appears to be in agreement. It’s always usually a good sign when a sequel isn’t too rushed. I’m hoping for the best.
I don’t know G, too much blood for me!😉
I hear you, Tiffany. The female badassery is going to be hard for me to resist, think. 🤓
I’ve heard it’s crazy so it’s been on my watchlist for a while. Hopefully I’ll get around to it before the sequel or I’ll see them back to back at some point. 😅
I’m almost CERTAIN you’ll see them back-to-back. 😁😁
