David Harbour, Kristen Bell and Maggie Nicole Robertson’s new action/comedy/crime film is a sequel to Violent Night (2022) one of my favourite ever Christmas movies.
Directed by Tommy Wirkola, Violent Night 2, has Santa Claus cut off from the North Pole and trapped dishing out violent justice somewhere entirely unexpected.
May this be as delightful and as satisfying as the first movie. This trailer has me feeling very positive. Especially with a brand new one liner to follow 2023’s ‘It’s time for some Season’s seatings.‘
Is Violent Night my favourite of David Harbour’s work? Honestly,I think so.
Plus, it’s great that Bell is in this. I’m excited to see what her character adds to the fun.

I liked a lot the first movie, but I don’t know why for this sequel I don’t have high hopes. I don’t know why, I just want to be wrong honestly.
A sequel is always more likely to be a lesser experience than the opposite, sadly. For all our sakes, I hope that you’re also wrong. 🤓🤞🤞

I expected Mrs. Claus, but for some reason I wasn’t expecting her to be a Viking warrior like Santa. The mall setting is an appropriate change of pace.
Strangely enough, I didn’t have any expectations, not even for a sequel. I look forward to smiling through this whole experience, as I did with thd first one.
