This Beautiful Fantastic is a comedy/fantasy/drama about the friendship between an aspiring children’s author and a cantankerous, rich old widower.

Jessica Brown Findlay, Jeremy Irvine, Tom Wilkinson and Andrew scott star.

Fantasy generally isn’t my favourite genre, but the humour between Wilkinson and Brown Findlay’s characters is the main reason I want to watch. On the other hand, it may just be that I have ‘a thing’ for seemingly unexpected friendships. I.e. The Intern (2015). We’ll just have to see.

DENIAL (2016): New Trailer From Rachel Weisz, Timothy Spall…

Denial (2016), Rachel Weisz
Denial (2016), Rachel Weisz

An acclaimed historian fighting in court to defend historical truth. This is the subject of director Mick Jackson’s latest film, Denial.

Based on a true story, Timothy Spall plays David Irving (a renowned holocaust denier) opposite Rachel Weisz’s Deborah E. Lipstadt.

The subject matter is certainly very interesting to me but  I’ll also watch because Weisz is yet to disappoint me, performance wise. Of course, Mr Spall, Andrew Scott and Tom Wilkinson aren’t bad either.

Lastly,  who doesn’t love the idea of a good courtroom drama?

Denial Release Dates: September 30th, 2016 (US); February 3rd, 2016 (UK)…

VICTOR FRANKENSTEIN (2015): New Trailer With Daniel Radcliffe & James McAvoy

Victor Frankenstein (2015), James McAvoy, Daniel Radcliffe
Victor Frankenstein (2015), James McAvoy, Daniel Radcliffe

Starring two of my favourite British actors, Daniel Radcliffe and James McAvoy, this version of the Frankenstein tale should be interesting. Firstly it’s from Igor’s perspective, rather than Frankensein’s which is new and interesting. Second, it’s set before the Frankenstein we’re most familiar with today emerges.

Without further a do…

Directed by Paul McGuigan of Lucky Number Slevin (2006), (a movie I recommend), bring on November 25th.
