OFFICE ROMANCE (2026): The Things I Liked…

I had a good time watching Jennifer Lopez, Brett Goldstein and Betty Gilpin’s latest romantic comedy, Office Romance, a story about an airline CEO who begins a policy-breaking romance with a new employee.

Directed by Ol Parker, Office Romance doesn’t reinvent the genre, but it does offer a refreshing soundtrack, a watchable story, and several laugh-out-loud moments. As someone who enjoys watching impressive, capable women on screen, it’s no surprise that I found it an easy watch.

The fact that there haven’t been enough new romantic comedy movies made in recent years may mean that I’m out of practice, but, somewhat surprisingly, I wasn’t able to guess key elements of the ending until they unfolded. So, a deserved point is due for the writing.

When forced to pick just one thing that Office Romance does most impressively, I’d say it’s bringing together such a wonderfully magnetic cast. I mean, I’ve always enjoyed Lopez in such roles, like Goldstein because of Ted Lasso (2020-), adore Gilpin thanks to The Hunt (2020), Tony Hale because of Veep (2012-2019), and Malik Elassal due to this superb 12:44 minutes, plus X Mayo from season 3, episodes 2 and 4-8 of Loot 2022-).

Truth be told, Made in Manhattan (2002) and The Wedding Planner (2001) may still be my favourite Lopez romantic comedy films, but for me, Office Romance isn’t too far behind.

Watch Office Romance if you’re curious.

OFFICE ROMANCE (2026): New Trailer From Jennifer Lopez, Betty Gilpin, Brett Goldstein…

In new comedy Office Romance, Jennifer Lopez is an airline CEO who gets into a policy-breaking romance with her new employee.

Directed by Ol Parker, additional key cast includes Brett Goldstein, Betty Gilpin, Amy Sedaris, Tony Hale and Bradley Whitford.

Nostalgia insists that I watch this, and I’m hoping I’ll be pleasantly surprised. I’m also looking forward to the roles played by the reputable supporting cast.

Lastly, is it me, or does it appear that Lopez and Goldstein aren’t actually on the beach at 1:13 into this trailer?

Edward James Olmos, Lisa Gilroy, Grady Eldridge, Jackie Sandler, Brian Gallivan, Jessica Keenan Wynn, Malik Elassal and Abbie Van Lee also star.

Office Romance Release Dates: June 5th, 2026 (US & UK)…

TED LASSO – SEASON 4 (2026): New Trailer From Jason Sudeikis, Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein…

The premise of Ted Lasso season four is simple. Lasso returns to AFC Richmond, but this time it’s to coach the women’s football team. Additional returning cast includes Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt and Jeremy Swift.

Ted Lasso is my favourite football manager of all time. Yes, he’s not real and barely understands the sport, but the man exudes safety and thoughtfulness at levels I can’t ignore. Maybe he’s just my favourite fictional human of all time. One who happens to be a football manager. Perhaps that’s it.

Ted Lasso season one was my favourite of the first three, and may well remain my favourite after this new one. However, I do like that Lasso will be managing a female team this time around. It’s an intriguing enough difference that has me hopeful about how this will all unfold.

It looks like, understandably, many of the characters from the Richmond FC male team will be absent from this new season. But I think I’ll be okay with that, since Lasso and Rebecca, my two favourite characters, are returning.

How are you feeling about the return of Ted Lasso?

Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern and Grant Feely.

Ted Lasso – Season 4 Release Dates: August 5th, 2026 (US & UK)…
