Timothée Chalamet, Gwyneth Paltrow and Odessa A’zion’s latest comedy is about a young man in pursuit of greatness, regardless of the fact that no one respects his dream.

Also starring Fran Drescher, Marty Supreme is co-written and directed by Josh Safdie.

I was a little on the fence after seeing the first trailer for this movie. I can now confirm that everything has changed. All because I love how this specific trailer edit speaks directly to the hearts of anyone who’s had a dream outside of the expected, opted for the less-travelled road, or let accusations of being delusional pass from one ear and out through the other.

I mean, what else is one to do when they feel so strongly and believe so fully? Especially as much of what we consider so ‘everyday’ now wouldn’t exist if such people had listened to the naysayers, right?

I’m hoping that Marty’s vision becomes real. Granted, I don’t know what he may have to do to get there, but my love for the underdog remains stronger than ever. And so I say: Go, Marty, go!

Director James Mangold’s biography/drama/music film about Bob Dylan and starring Timotée Chalamet has a great new trailer.

I love how this builds to an exciting crescendo that has me looking forward to the release day of this award-worthy-looking production.

I couldn’t name a Dylan song when the teaser trailer for this movie was released a couple of months ago. At this point, I’m imagining myself enjoying Like a Rolling Stone live, in that trailer scene at the end.

It’s great to see Chalamet, who is clearly a DiCaprio-type talent do his thing to such a high level. Absolutely taking myself to the cinema for this one. Can’t wait. Oh, and I fully wrote this post with Like a Rolling Stone playing in the background the whole time.

Cate Blanchett, Jennifer Lawrence, Meryl Streep, Timothée Chalamet and Leonardo DiCaprio are the stars of new drama/comedy/sci-fi movie Don’t Look Up.

Directed by Adam McKay; at the centre of the story are two low-level astronomers who must go on a giant media tour to warn mankind of an approaching comet; the kind that will completely destroy planet Earth.

Great title for a movie about an ‘end of the world event’ coming from above, right?

I’m very ready for the comedy and drama that this wonderful cast is going to deliver. I’m also happy to see that Lawrence is back.

These days, I love seeing DiCaprio in non-biographical movies. I think I got my fill with Catch Me if You Can (2002), The Aviator (2004) and J. Edgar (2011), which all seemed to happen in quick succession.

Gina Gershon, Matthew Perry, Mark Rylance, Ron Perlman, Ariana Grande and Jona Hill also star.

Based on Frank Herbert’s science fiction novel of the same name, new adventure/drama Dune is the latest from Denis Villeneuve (Sicario (2015) and Blade Runner 2049 (2017).

Starring Zendeya, Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson and Oscar Isaac; the story centres around the son of a noble family who’s entrusted with the protection of the most valuable asset and most vital element in the galaxy.

I, for one, know very little about the Dune story and the 1984 film. Nevertheless, I’m especially curious because of the director and the brilliant cast.

Jason Momoa, Dave Bautista, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Javier Bardem, Charlotte Rampling, David Dastmalchian, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Chen Chang, Sharon Duncan-Brewster and Babs Olusanmokun also star.

From writer/director Wes Anderson, The French Dispatch is a love letter to journalists and a new comedy/drama about a collection of love stories published in The French Dispatch magazine.

Key cast includes Timothée Chalamet, Saoirse Ronan and Elisabeth Moss.

I liked Anderson’s last film The Grand Budpest Hotel (2014). I therefore hope that this too will be amusing and a feast for all the senses.
