In Manchester By The Sea which stars Casey Affleck, Lucas Hedges, Kyle Chandler and Michelle Williams, an uncle (Affleck) is forced to take care of his nephew (Hedges) whose father just passed.

I’m interested because I’ll no doubt learn a thing or two about what to do or what not, in such predicaments. I also just want to see how uncle and nephew will end up helping each other grow. One last reason is that the wonderfully talented Michelle Williams is in a movie again, finally!

Directed by Kenneth Lonergan; Matthew Broderick, Tate Donovan and Gretchen Mol also star.

Based on a true story, The Finest Hours is about a group of men whose jobs will remind you that what you do for a living probably isn’t that bad. At least, that’s what went through my mind as I watched the below trailer.

A rescue mission at sea is at the centre of The Finest Hours. Starring Chris Pine, Holliday Grainger, Ben Foster, Casey Affleck, Kyle Gallner, and Eric Bana, I’m expecting plenty of drama, action and I’m sure, breaks of several kinds.

Craig Gillespie, director of one of my favourite Ryan Gosling movies, Lars & The Real Girl (2007) is the man in charge.

TRIPLE 9 (2016): Explosive New Trailer Starring Norman Reedus, Kate Winslet, Aaron Paul…

Just when I feared things were slowing down trailer-wise because Christmas is coming… Chiwetel Ejiofor, Norman Reedus, Woody Harrelson, Kate Winslet and Aaron Paul have a brand new trailer and this Red Band version is gritty, riotous and explosive.

Perhaps it’s a ‘Valentines day romantic movie’ antidote; especially so considering the US release date is February 2016.

Firstly, Triple 9 is from John Hillcoat, a name you may recognise because he’s the director behind the rather good Tom Hardy and Guy Pearce movie, Lawless (2012).

Second, I want to take a moment to say ‘well done‘ to the trailer maker. Because it’s great that very little of the plot has been revealed, yet I’m hooked. It’s probably best that I savour this moment because by the time trailer 2, 3 and maybe even 4 come around, I’ll know far more than I could ever want, prior to watching the movie.

I’m so looking forward to this and very excited to see what looks like a seriously badass turn from Winslet.
