Directed by  Michael Rianda and Jeff Rowe, a tech uprising is what’s happening in Olivia Colman, Eric André, Maya Rudolph and Danny McBride’s latest animated comedy, Connected.

Centred around soon-to-be college student Katie Mitchell, Katie’s family decides to make a road trip out of driving her to university. Only, those plans get interrupted by the aforementioned tech uprising. And soon, it’s up to the Mitchells to save the world.

There seems to be a lot going on in this trailer but I do like the animation style which reminds me of some story book illustrations young me used to enjoy.

I’m also interested in seeing how Katie’s father deals with his daughter no longer needing him as much as she used to. Fingers crossed, the end result will be a pleasant surprise.

Michael Rianda and Abbie Jackson also star.
