LITTLE BROTHER (2026): The Things I Liked…

I’ll get right to it. Little Brother, John Cena and Eric Andre’s latest comedy, the one in which Cena plays a famous real estate agent whose life is hugely disrupted by his eccentric brother, is not a good film.

I mean, yes, the emotional last twenty minutes or so were moving. But the only reason I made it that far, and begrudgingly so, is because I enjoy watching Cena.

The rest of the movie succeeded at being annoying. Essentially, the story isn’t great, and Andre’s character is super obnoxious, even though, believe it or not, he wasn’t quite as grating as I feared he’d be.

If you’re super curious, sure, hit play. Otherwise, why not rewatch Rush Hour 2 (2001) instead?

CAYOTE VS ACME (2026): New Trailer From John Cena, Lana Condor, Will Forte…

John Cena’s latest is Coyote vs. Acme, an animated adventure/comedy set in the warehouse of the company responsible for all the highly questionable products used by Bugs Bunny, Tweety Bird, Wile E. Coyote and the rest of the Looney Tunes gang.

Directed by Dave Green, key cast members include Lana Condor, Will Forte and P.J. Byrne.

Yeah! More Cena!

The last animation and live-action mix I saw, Tom and Jerry (2021), wasn’t great, which is why I’m making sure not to expect too much from this one.

Nevertheless, Tweety Bird, Bugs Bunny, Wile E. Coyote and Roadrunner are characters that have never failed to put a smile on my face. So, the least I can do is give this a chance at some point. After all, I do rather enjoy the silly/clever more often than not.

Are you ready for the nostalgia hit?

Zoe Buchansky, Nancy Linehan Charles, Aimee McGuire, Doug Montoya, Kelsey Leos Montoya, Bennie Taylor, Hayes Hargrove, Kristin K. Berg and Jeff Bergman also star.

Cayote VS Acme Release Dates: August 21st, 2026, (UK); August 28th, 2026 (US)…

MATCHBOX THE MOVIE (2026): New Trailer Starring John Cena, Teyonah Parris, Jessica Biel, Sam Richardson…

New action/adventure Matchbox The Movie is the latest from Extraction (2020) director Sam Hargrave.

Starring John Cena, Sam Richardson, Jessica Biel and Teyonah Parris, the story is inspired by iconic Mattel automobile toys created in 1953.

Cena plays Sean, a CIA agent who unintentionally gets his friends involved in his work.

Is it concerning that my main reason for wanting to see this is Sam Richardson’s character, on account of his brilliant comic timing?

Likely, yes. But then, Hargrave did give us the rather fun Extraction (2020). So, perhaps all will be well and fun, as long as we don’t expect too much.

In the meantime, I’ll disregard all instincts that are telling me this may be like Kevin Hart’s Lift (2024), which was perfectly watchable, certainly in parts.

Teyonah Parris, Corey Stoll, Bill Camp, Danai Gurira, Golshifteh Farahani, Arturo Castro and Daniel Bernhardt also star.

Matchbox The Movie Release Dates: October 9th, 2026 (US & UK)…

LITTLE BROTHER (2026): New Trailer From John Cena, Michelle Monaghan, Eric André…

John Cena, Eric Andre and Michelle Monaghan’s latest comedy, Little Brother, has Cena as a famous real estate agent whose life is disrupted with the arrival of his eccentric brother (Andre).

Directed by Matt Spicer, additional key cast includes Ego Nwodim, Christopher Meloni and Sherry Cola.

I may end up finding Andre’s character too irritating, but I still want to see this because of Cena.

Is this one you’re looking forward to?

Pilot Bunch, Sophia Bunnell, Bryce Gheisar, Christina Catechis and Brian Keane also star.

Little Brother Release Dates: June 26th, 2026 (US & UK)…

HEADS OF STATE (2025): New Trailer From Idris Elba, John Cena, Priyanka Chopra…

Heads Of State (2025), Idris Elba, John Cena, Prime Video
Heads Of State (2025), Idris Elba, John Cena, Prime Video

Fun isn’t exactly what comes to mind at the idea of the political leaders of the UK & US having to work together. Unless, of course, John Cena is the American president and Idris Elba is the prime minister of the United Kingdom, as in director Ilya Naishuller’s action/thriller, Heads of State.

The reason for the partnership is a common foreign adversary for whom they find themselves a target.

Not in the movies now, son.’

I anticipate this will be ‘silly fun’ like G20 (2025), but hopefully with more giggles. Amazon may be in a season of ‘presidential movies’, and I’m not mad about it.

Is this silliness something you can see yourself gravitating towards at some point? The answer for me is a definite yes.

Priyanka Chopra, Jack Quaid, Paddy Considine, Carla Gugino, Stephen Root, Amber Rose Revah, Sarah Niles, Richard Coyle, Steven Cree and Clare Foster also star.

Heads of State Release Dates: July 2nd, 2025 (US & UK), Prime Video…
