Fittest on Earth: Final Showdown in Madtown is a documentary about athletes competing for the title of ‘Fittest on Earth’ at the 2023 CrossFit Games.

Directed by David Check, we’ll see the competitors amid exhilarating highs and devastating lows as we watch their personal journeys and displays of pure athleticism.

I’m not a CrossFit athlete and have no plans to be one. So, why does this appeal to me? The same way any sporting competition I choose to watch does. Sometimes, believe it or not, watching other people push their physical limits feels like a good substitute for doing it myself.

It feels good to watch after working out or instead of it. I am also a little intrigued by the characters.
