Inspired by a true story, Bob Trevino Likes It is a new comedy/drama from writer/director Tracie Laymon.

It follows Lily Trevino (Barbie Ferreira), and her unexpected friendship with Bob Trevino (John Leguizamo), a man who shares her father’s name and, thankfully, next to none of his personality traits.

I’m curious about the neglectful father’s perspective. I also happen to be a big fan of Leguizamo, and I look forward to the very welcome moments of levity hinted at in this trailer.

I can probably imagine a father feeling something like the father in this movie. Nevertheless, going as far as he appears to go is another matter entirely. Fingers crossed this story is handled just right.
