Written/directed by John Patrick Shanley; Wild Mountain Thyme is the latest drama/romance starring Emily Blunt, John Hamm, Jamie Dornan and Christopher Walken.

Blunt and Dornan are star-crossed lovers in Ireland, a pair who find themselves caught up in their family’s land dispute.

It’s strange but earlier in the afternoon, a few hours before I came across this trailer, I was thinking about how long it’s been since I saw a new trailer starring Emily Blunt.

I’m in because it’s Blunt, even though I have to admit to not being a big fan of the way this trailer is edited. Largely because it’s oddly jumpy, awkward, and I’m also not so sure about the Blunt/Dornan chemistry. Anyone else see what I see?

Lastly, I keep reading the title of this movie as Wild ‘Mushroom’ Thyme. I just hope I didn’t type that unintellay somewhere.

Jon Tenney, Dearbhla Molloy, Danielle Ryan, Lydia McGuinness, Abigail Coburn, Darragh O’Kane and Martin F Ward also star.

Wild Mountan Thyme Release Dates: December 11th, 2020 (US)…

KEEPING UP WITH THE JONESES (2016): The Thing I Liked…

I sat down to watch Keeping Up With The Joneses without any grand expectations and that’s probably the best way to go into it, should you choose to do so. Starring John Hamm, Gal Gadot, Zach Galifianakis and Isla Fisher, I found this Greg Mottola directed action / comedy only mildly funny.

There are indeed a couple of moments that made the experience less regrettable. The first being the nicely executed snake scene in the Chinese restaurant. The second is when Galifianakis’s character makes a joke at the expense of the British. It could be that I found it particularly hilarious because the United Kingdom is home. It’s more likely though that it’s Galifianakis’s excellent comic timing and delivery. Beyond these two scenes, everything else about Keeping Up With The Joneses just felt like cheap filler because it wasn’t that good.

One last good thing Mottola’s movie did is remind me that Wonder Woman (2017), my most highly anticipated movie of 2017 will be here in not too many months. I for one cannot wait to see its star Gal Gadot do her thing.
