Written/directed by and starring Demetri Martin, Dean is a comedy about loss, grief and the redemptive power of love. It  also stars Gillian Jacobs, Kevin Kline, Kathrine Barnes and Reid Scott.

This intrigues me for three reasons. The first is the promise of humour, the second is how the illustrations fit into the film.

Last but not least, as a massive fan of the HBO comedy series VEEP, I think I’m going to enjoy Reid Scott in a different role. Granted that his part in this movie appears to be relatively small, I’m still looking forward to seeing what else he can do in addition to  playing VEEP’s ‘Dan Egan’ so very well indeed.
