Memoria is James Franco’s latest movie and it looks…

…creepy. Yes, creepy is the word I was looking for. Eery also probably fits. Either way, I’m interested. I’m interested because Memoria is a Palo Alto, California-based story about a young man (Sam Dillon) trying to find his place in the world. It doesn’t help that he’s unsatisfied with his social group, has a dysfunctional family life, and he’s having zero luck with the lady he likes.

I want to see how it ends because this trailer has captured my imagination, thanks partly to the rather relaxing trailer music. I also want the young man to make it through and win.

Thomas Mann, Teo Halm, Luna Blaise, Shauna Bloom and Bella cohen aslo star. Director credits go to Vladimir de Fontenay and Nina Ljeti.

Miles Ahead (2015), Don Cheadle as Miles Davis

Exploring the life and music of celebrated jazz musician, Miles Davis; Miles Ahead is directed by, and stars Don Cheadle.

I like the approach taken with this trailer, the style, editing and pace is very engaging.

It also looks like Mr. Davis had quite the sense of humour. Something that must have been fun to be around. Except of course, if you’ve wronged him in any way. Bring on the great music music.

Ewan Mcgregor and Emayatzy Corinealdi also star.
