Kyle Chandler, Aaron Pierre, Nathan Fillion and Kelly Macdonald’s new series Lanterns has a promising new trailer.

The eight-part series created by Tom King and Chris Mundy follows two intergalactic cops drawn into a dark mystery that involves a murder in the American heartland.

This is looking more and more watchable for me. What I’m into besides the warfare is the dynamic between Chandler and Pierre’s characters. Succession is never easy, clearly.

Suddenly, The X-Files (1993-2018) just came to mind. It has to be the alien connection because I don’t remember having ever watched a full episode of The X-Files.

How are you feeling Green Lantern fans, is this looking better to you?

Created by Tom King and Chris Mundy, new eight-part series, Lanterns, stars Kyle Chandler, Aaron Pierre, Nathan Fillion and Kelly Macdonald.

The story follows John Stewart (Pierre) and Hal Jordan (Chandler), two Lanterns, a.k.a., intergalactic cops, drawn into a dark, Earth-based mystery. One where they’re investigating a murder in the American heartland.

‘Promising‘, one might say.

I particularly like what happens from 1:29 in this trailer, and the music that kicks in around 1:42. Is it just me, or does it sound a lot like something from Black Panther? Especially toward the end of that trailer.

Before this, which sounds like a fun premise, all I really knew about Green Lantern, as a non–comic book reader, was that he’s a superhero Ryan Reynolds played back in 2011… much to the disappointment of many fans.

It’s still too early to say how this version will turn out, but I’m here for the unexpected, chemistry-filled pairing of Pierre and Chandler.

Lastly, long-standing Green Lantern fan or not, how is this looking to you?

Goodbye Christopher Robin stars Domhnall Gleeson, Margot Robbie and Kelly MacDonald.

It’s the new Simon Curtis-directed movie that tells us the behind-the-scenes story of the life of celebrated author A.A. Milne; particularly how his son C.R. Milne inspired the creation of the Winnie the Pooh stories.

I’ll be tuning in because I’m a fan of Pooh and friends. I also just want to watch a film about a father’s great love for his son.

This trailer has a dream-like feel. I also get the sense that Robbie’s character is a ghost; no idea if that was intentional, since I know extremely little about A.A. Milne’s life, at this point.
