Kyle Chandler, Aaron Pierre, Nathan Fillion and Kelly Macdonald’s new series Lanterns has a promising new trailer.
The eight-part series created by Tom King and Chris Mundy follows two intergalactic cops drawn into a dark mystery that involves a murder in the American heartland.
This is looking more and more watchable for me. What I’m into besides the warfare is the dynamic between Chandler and Pierre’s characters. Succession is never easy, clearly.
Suddenly, The X-Files (1993-2018) just came to mind. It has to be the alien connection because I don’t remember having ever watched a full episode of The X-Files.

I feel that too. I need a new no-comedy series that isn’t too intense to commit to.
I would say it is a fairly promising trailer as well, G. (I also recommend The X-Files…I am STILL watching that show after all these years!!!)
Wow! I love the longevity of The X-Files. I usually only return to comedies, so it’s really great when a sci-fi drama has the power.
I’m still not 100% on it, but it does look better I will admit.
