England Is Mine is the new Mark Gill-directed biopic about musician Steven Patrick Morrissey and his early life in 1970s Manchester.

The film introduces us to Morrissey before he became the lead singer of the seminal 80s band The Smiths. 

Jessica Brown Findlay, Jodie Comer and Jack Lowden are among the key cast.

I’m not exactly a Morrissey fan but I do know who he is. I also know that he has a certain level of ‘self-confidence’ which, as this trailer suggests could prove entertaining. In other words, I’m curious about Morrissey’s character. Perhaps I’ll also discover new music I like.
