In the Catherine Hardwicke-directed crime/thriller Miss Bala, Gina Rodriguez is a beauty contest winner who ends up forced to work for a crime boss after she witnesses a murder.

Anthony Mackie, Matt Lauria and Ismael Cruz Cordova also star.

I want to find out how well Rodriguez does in the role. Fingers crossed that it’s all well-executed overall.
