Director Bill Condon’s latest is The Good Liar, a London-set drama starring Helen Mirren, Ian McKellen and Russell Tovey.

The Good Liar is the story of career con artist Roy (Ian McKellan). Roy meets his next target, Betty online, and instead of the usual straightforward job, he finds himself in an unexpected complication.

Well done trailer maker! Now that my immediate feelings about this well-edited two-minute and twelve-second edit is out of the way, why do I suddenly feel as though she’s the one playing him?

It’s probably just my desire that she be smarter than his conman proclivities. Either way, this cast is fantastic and I can’t wait to go through the highs and lows of this promising story.

Mark Lewis Jones, Jim Carter, Jacqueline Ramnarine, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson, Celine Buckens, Bessie Carter and Aleksandar Jovanovic also star.
