I’m mainly intrigued because it’s that talented Swank. I’m also look forward to breathtaking images of space and a story that will be emotional but hopefully not depressing.

This one is a story about a married man who gets tricked into a murder scheme by a female police detective.
That is quite the dark premise. Looking forward to finding out the reasoning behind such actions.
I also definitely didn’t see the pairing of Ealy and Swank coming. I’m therefore most curious about their on screen dynamic. Hopefully the end result will be a memorable thriller.

I found the original trailer for this movie pretty compelling. This new one isn’t bad but I much prefer the darker more mysterious angle that featured terrifying music. Nevertheless, I am looking forward to seeing Gilpin’s character do her absolute worst and delight her audience.
It was good to learn that this movie hasn’t been changed at all following all the controversy. Only the marketing’s changed. so fingers crossed it ends up being worth the delay.

This intriguingly dark concept has me impatient to see the finished product. I mean, I don’t think that I’ve ever seen Swank look quite as terrifying as she does in the clip from which the above image was captured.
I say ‘bring on the entertaining madness’ because I think I’m ready. I think.

This looks to me like a case of paintball and deer, bison or other game just not cutting it anymore for hunting fans.
I’m looking forward to what the next trailer will reveal. We can probably expect quite a bit of horror.

In Netflix sci-fi movie I Am Mother, a robot ‘mother’ created to repopulate earth following human extinction must deal with an inexplicable stranger. A stranger who arrives with news that threatens her unique bond with her teenage daughter.
The intriguing premise and Oscar winner Hilary Swank’s involvement are the reasons I watched I Am Mother. Also starring Rose Byrne and Clara Rugaard, overall director Grant Sputore’s movie is an OK sci-fi mystery. It’s interesting enough even though it could have moved faster. The most engaging part for me is towards the end when the characters’ full truths are finally revealed. By this point it became quite clear to me why Swank had agreed to play her specific role. Her character’s precise predicament and emotional journey are truly interesting in terms of the general experience of being human.
I say watch I Am Mother if you’re curious. Though the movie is indeed a Netflix sci-fi film, it’s also better than other recent Netlix films of the shame genre. Namely IO (2019) and Extinction (2018). I definitely wouldn’t recommend watching those two unless you really, really absolutely have to.

Directed by Grant Sputore, I’m excited to see how the mystery in this story is resolved. There’s also the fact that great actor Hilary Swank said yes to this, so I really hope it’s a good Netflix movie.
