Chris Pratt, Sam Richardson, Betty Gilpin and Yvonne Strahovski are the stars of The Lego Movie (2014) director, Chris McKay’s new action/adventure/sci-fi, The Tomorrow War.

The promising trailer has Pratt as Dan, a family man tasked with annihilating a future threat to humanity’s very existence.

I’m in for the Pratt brand of charm and action. Also, Gilpin appears to be in the wife/mother role for this one. But I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I’m hoping she gets to kick some alien behind. Especially since she was so great in The Hunt (2020).

J.K. Simmons, Seychelle Gabriel, Alan Trong, Jasmine Mathews, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Keith Powers, Mike Mitchell, Chibuikem Uche and Felisha Terrell also star.

Hello, interesting movie premise!

I’m also in to see Pratt in an action movie role; the kind that seems to have strong Tom Cruise vibes. Perhaps it’s just the shot at 16 seconds into this trailer that has me making the Cruise connection.

Also, there’s Gilpin. I feel as though her character is going to be quite the badass. If you’ve seen The Hunt (2020), then you know that she’s great at that.

I’m looking forward to this one because I like Helms, Henson and Gilpin. Plus, that slap at 1:21 into this trailer is amusingly crisp and precise. There’s also the above image of Helms in the hat which happens to make me smile every time I look at it.

Chance Hurstfield, Serge Houde, RonReaco Lee, Samantha Cole, Fraser Aitcheson and Garfield Wilson also star.

Read my spoiler-free movie review of The Hunt (2020).

The Hunt, a movie that had its trailer campaign and release cancelled in 2019 following two mass shootings in the States now has a new trailer edit and release date.

The story about twelve strangers who are chosen and kidnapped for the specific purpose of being hunted is directed by Craig Zobel. And the key cast includes Betty Gilpin, Emma Roberts, Hilary Swank, Justin Hartley…

I found the original trailer for this movie pretty compelling. This new one isn’t bad but I much prefer the darker more mysterious angle that featured terrifying music. Nevertheless, I am looking forward to seeing Gilpin’s character do her absolute worst and delight her audience.

It was good to learn that this movie hasn’t been changed at all following all the controversy. Only the marketing’s changed. so fingers crossed it ends up being worth the delay.
