OPPENHEIMER (2023): New Trailer Starring Cillian Murphy, Matt Damon, Emily Blunt, Florence Pugh and Rami Malek…

American scientist J. Robert Oppenheimer‘s Christopher Nolan directed biography has a brand new trailer, and like all Nolan trailers, it does not disappoint.

Interesting and moving are the words for how it’s going to be to watch this while knowing what’s happening in the world right now. Yet, with such a magnificent Filmmaking team lead by Nolan, and starring Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Florence Pugh and Rami Malek, I say bring it on.

Bring on the audiovisual feast that is a Christopher Nolan film. I’m ready for my traditional pause for silent reflection at the end. Reflection on how grateful I am for film and its position as the perfect amalgamation of all the arts.

Robert Downey Jr., Gary Oldman, James Remar, Casey Affleck, Jack Quaid, David Krumholtz, Benny Safdie, Michael Angarano, Josh Hartnett and Kenneth Branagh also star.

OPPENHEIMER (2023): New Trailer From Christopher Nolan, Starring Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Rami Malek, Florence Pugh…

Christopher Nolan’s latest film stars Cillian Murphy, Rami Malek, Emily Blunt, Matt Damon and Florence Pugh.

Biography/historical drama Oppenheimer is the story of American scientist J. Robert Oppenheimer. Specifically the part he played in the development of the atomic bomb.

My all-time favourite movie trailer happens to be for a Christopher Nolan Film. As such, it’s unsurprising that the long-awaited full trailer for his latest work also has me excited to the point I was moved to yelp joyfully as it played.

All my joyful yelping and excitement aside, brilliant and certainly chilling are two words that seem fitting regarding the energy and dialogue present in this trailer. And since Murphy is an actor who always delivers in his performances; if the transformation in his eyes is anything to go by, I can hardly wait to be moved in all the ways I’m bound to be.

Of course, there’s also the stunning cinematography courtesy of Hoyte van Hoytema, who most recently worked on Nope (2022), Tenet (2020) and, Dunkirk (2017).

Robert Downey Jr., Gary Oldman, James Remar, Casey Affleck, Jack Quaid, David Krumholtz, Benny Safdie, Michael Angarano, Josh Hartnett and Kenneth Branagh also star

THE LITTLE THINGS (2021): The Things I Liked…

The Little Things (2021), Denzel Washington, Rami Malek, Warner Bros. Pictures
The Little Things (2021), Denzel Washington, Rami Malek, Warner Bros. Pictures

As many can imagine, a thriller starring Denzel Washington, Rami Malek and Jared Leto is the kind that’s highly unlikely to disappoint, especially on the performance front.

All three Academy award-winning actors were great in their roles. I particularly enjoyed the tension-filled dynamic between Washington and Malek’s characters. I also happened to like the way Malek walks in this movie, but that’s neither here nor there.

Performances and walks aside, The Little Things is very unlikely to be what you expect. Writer/director John Lee Hancock’s serial killer movie is engaging and suspenseful; especially at the start. Yet, even though I appreciated the story that Hancock chose to tell, the way the film’s unexpected difference is executed resulted in a storytelling experience that left me feeling disappointed and unsatisfied.

To be clear, I’m not dissatisfied because I didn’t get the ending I wanted. I’m left wanting because the story structure did a less than satisfactory job of managing my expectations.

Besides the already mentioned high points of this movie, one of the biggest positives of The Little Things, for me, is the musical score; the sound of which you’ll recognise, particularly if you enjoyed and or replayed the impressive trailer as much as I did.

The Little Things is a movie you watch if you’re curious about the performances. And to find out how it’s different from what you typically expect from a serial killer movie, should you be so curious.

Jared Leto, Denzel Washington and Rami Malek are the stars of new thriller The Little Things.

From writer/director John Lee Hancock; the story follows two cops in their efforts to track down a serial killer.

A very good trailer. I like the music almost as much as I love seeing the names Washington, Leto and Malek on one cast list.

For a moment there, I thought Washington was playing the serial killer. I say ‘thought’ but I’m still not sure. It’s almost too scary if he is, isn’t it? I can’t wait for the truth to be revealed. Oh, and yes, Leto is wearing a prosthetic nose.

Sofia Vassilieva, Natalie Morales, Tom Hughes, Michael Hyatt, Chris Bauer, Terry Kinney, Jason James Richter, Stephanie Erb and John Harlan Kim also star.

NO TIME TO DIE (2020): Trailer 2, Starring Ana De Armas, Daniel Craig, Léa Seydoux, Lashana Lunch…

No Time To Die (2020), Daniel Craig, James Bond 007

Trailer two for new James Bond movie No Time To Die has been released.

Directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga; the key cast includes Ana De Armas, Rami Malek, Daniel Craig, Lea Seydoux Lashana Lynch…

Since the original April 2nd, 2020 release date for this movie was scrapped earlier this year, November has felt so far away. But now there’s just over two months left to go. My fingers are tightly crossed that the date doesn’t change again because I’ve been super ready for this for more than a year.

The question of whether Fukunaga’s movie will join Casino Royale (2006) and Skyfall (2012) to be one of my favourite Bond films of all time is yet to be decided. I sure hope it does. Especially since I think it’s official, Ana de Armas is already one of my favourite Bond girls. Plus, Malek looks like a very promising villain indeed.

Rory Kinnear, David Dencik, Billy Magnussen, Ben Whishaw, Lourdes Faberes and Ahmed Bakare also star.

BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY (2018): New Trailer For Queen Documentary Starring Rami Malek, Mike Myers…

Bohemian Rhapsody (2018), Rami Malek
Bohemian Rhapsody (2018), Rami Malek

Bohemian Rhapsody is the name of one of Queen’s most popular songs. It’s now also a film starring Rami Malek as late Queen frontman, Freddie Mercury.

Directed by Bryan Singer, Bohemian Rhapsody tells the story of the years leading up to Queen‘s legendary appearance at the 1985 Live Aid concert…

I’m so very in for Malek’s performance. I also want to re-live the Queen experience I’m familiar and that that I’m not. So far so good. Though I don’t remember Mercury’s teeth being quite that way.

Bohemian Rhapsody Release Dates: October 24th, 2018 (UK); November 2nd, 2018 (US)…

BUSTER’S MAL HEART (2016): New Trailer From Rami Malek, DJ Qualls, Kate Lyn Sheil…

Buster's Mal Heart (2016), Rami Malek
Buster’s Mal Heart (2016), Rami Malek

In Buster’s Mal Heart, the Sarah Adina Smith written and directed movie starring Rami Malek, Malek plays a family man whose chance encounter with a conspiracy-obsessed drifter leads to him being on the run from the police and something called The Inversion…

I’ve never watched Mr Robot, the hit series that Malek is best known for, but my goodness Malek’s face is arresting, right? Or is the word intense? I’ll watch this movie because of the hints of dark humour and the seemingly very peculiar story.
