In LBJ, Woody Harrelson stars as the President of the United States of America. Directed by Rob Reiner, the drama / biography tells the true story of Lyndon Baines Johnson (LBJ) – from his young days in West Texas to his time in the White House…

I want to see this so I can marvel at the seemingly great prosthetics on Harrelson’s face. I’m also curious about the story since it’s, in a way the other version of events that we didn’t get to see in Jackie (2016).

At this moment in time however, I may need a break from movies set at The White House. You see, I’m half way through season three of House Of Cards and my goodness is it dark and intense!

Today we have another documentary about funny people. Featuring among others, Mel Brooks, Sarah Silverman, Klara Firestone and Rob Reiner, the topic director Ferne Pearlstein’s The Last Laugh is whether it’s ever acceptable to use humour when dealing with a tragedy of the scale of the holocaust…

I’m thinking it’s not necessarily what you do but when and how you do it. It’ll be interesting to see how the professionally funny break this down in more detail.
