Starring Jason Statham, Ruby Rose and Rainn Wilson, The Meg is a Jon Turteltaub directed action / horror / sci-fi movie about Jonas Taylor, a man who must confront his fears of the 70 foot shark he escaped from to save those trapped in a sunken submersible.

Pushing aside my thoughts of a modern Moby Dick and Steven Spielberg’s Jaws (1975), I want to see this one for the special effects. It’s also quite likely that I’m going to be rooting for the ‘fish’.

Well done trailer maker! I actually want to forget about the other films in the franchise and just watch this. Only I know only too well just how unwise that is.
