Stephen McHattie | The Movie My Life

In new comedy/thriller Come To Daddy, Elijah Wood is a privileged man-child who arrives at the remote coastal cabin of his estranged father, whom he hasn’t seen in 30 years.

Based on the story by Toby Harvard and directed by Ant Timpson, additional key cast includes Stephen McHattie, Garfield Wilson and Madeleine Sami.

I’m interested because it’s strange, and I haven’t watched a Wood movie in a while. My other reason is definitely that haircut. I admit that it intrigues me.

Martin Donovan, Michael Smiley, Simon Chin, Ona Grauer, Ryan Beil, Raresh DiMofte, Alla Rouba, Noam Zylberman, Gord Middleton and Oliver Wilson also star.

Ethan Hawke has a new movie, and this time he’s playing jazz musician, Chet Baker.

From Writer/director Robert Budreau and also starring Carmen Ejogo and Natassia Halabi, Born To Be Blue appeals to me because it’s a come-back story. Who doesn’t need one of those at least once in a while in their life? I’ll be there for the inspiration and the music.

I just noticed that it’s only February 2016, but already, we have two biographies about legendary jazz musicians coming up. Just a few weeks ago, the trailer for Don Cheadle’s very intriguing Miles Ahead (2015) was released, and it too looks promising.
