‘That before you were domesticated, you were like fire‘

I thought the above was a compliment at first. Now I’m not so sure. Nevertheless, I can’t help feeling that being ‘like fire’ sounds super badass.

The dialogue, clearly, and the cinematography have my attention. I’m hoping the story is also engaging and satisfying. I mean, Hedda is based on the well-regarded play, Hedda Gabler, by Henrik Ibsen, after all.

Are you familiar with Ibsen’s book? It sounds like the kind of play I may have heard about in college.

Nicholas Pinnock, Nina Hoss, Finbar Lynch, Mirren Mack, Jamael Westman, Saffron Hocking, Jack Barry, Kathryn Hunter and Sam Hoare also star.

Simona Brown, Eve Hewson and Tom Bateman are the stars of Behind Her Eyes; a new Steve Lightfoot-directed Netflix mystery/thriller series about Louise; a single mom with a son and a part-time job in a psychiatrist’s office.

Things get complicated when Louise begins an affair with her boss and strikes up an unlikely friendship with his wife. 

I wouldn’t mind controlling my dreams. But that’s not why I want to watch this. My partiality to a good mystery/thriller is my main reason. The cast is great and it helps that this looks very promising.

Robert Aramayo, Tyler Howitt, Aston McAuley, Kamontip Krissy Ashton, Pierre Bergman, Georgie Glen, Richie Lawrie, Joakim Skarli, Hannah Traylen, Hannah Young, Rob Horrocks and Anna Charlotte Clark also star.

Based on 2014’s Norwegian movie, In Order of Disappearance, new action/thriller Cold Pursuit stars Liam Neeson as a snowplow driver seeking revenge against the drug dealers he thinks killed his son.

Directed by Hans Petter Moland; additional key cast includes Emmy Rossum and Tom Bateman.

There’s the obvious Taken (2018) vibes which make up part of the appeal of this movie. The story does intrigue me but I just want to see Liam Neeson kick ass in his special Neeson style.

William Forsythe, Laura Dern, Julia Jones, Elysia Rotaru, Domenick Lombardozzi and Raoul Max Trujillo also star.
