Starring Sam Elliot, Nick Offerman, Krysten Ruitter and Laura Prepon, The Hero is all about an ailing movie star (Elliott) who’s coming to terms with his past and mortality…

I’m tuning in because I like the subject matter. Though, not to drag things to the dark side a little bit but we’ll all be ailing at some point and I like finding out how other people deal with it. Additionally, I’m a Sam Elliott fan. I remember liking his performance in I’ll See You In My Dreams (2015) and I must confess to appreciating his performance almost as much as I did the deep bass in his voice.

The Hero Release Dates: June 9th, 2017 (US)…

Happy Film Loving

  1. I thought the interview Sam gave was uncalled for His language, f.ing this, f.ing that cheapened him. Maybe that is the way he talks in everyday life……but not in FB interview. Makes me think less of him.

    1. Hello Janette, I actually haven’t seen the Facebook interview you’re referring to. I tend to avoid interviews about films I haven’t seen yet. If I watch them at all, it’ll usually be once I’ve seen the movie. I take it you’ve watched the film?

  2. This actually looks very interesting. I will be looking forward to this film. It may sound odd, but the whole story kinda brought to mind this song by Johnny Cash “Hurt”, and the lyrics – [leaving behind’] “the empire of dirt”, or something. I guess it is all about the fleetness of fame, and one’s mortality.
