Travis Fimmel, Chloë Sevigny, Steve Buscemi, and Charlie Plummer are the stars of Lean On Pete, an Andrew Haig-directed adventure/drama about a teenager who befriends a fading racehorse named Lean on Pete.
I’m interested because I want to learn more about the impracticalities of having a pet horse, sans stable/barn. If something else about this movie ends up resonating with me, then great.

Now here’s an original (at least to me) story!
Good point! I think it’s kind of original to me also. The only other horse-based movie that came to mind after watching this trailer is The Horse Whisperer (1998).
As I type this now, I’m also thinking of Seabiscuit (2003), a horse movie I was put off from watching because it looked too unashamedly like a ‘tearjerker.’ I must confess, I’ve never been ‘in the mood to cry’ enough to actually watch it.
My thoughts on this one too – I hope they don’t go that route, but they might. Too sappy
