Directed and co-written by Lee Cronin, new horror film, The Hole In The Ground stars Seána Kerslake, James Quinn Markey and Simone Kirby

At the heart of the story is a young mother with a broken past, who’s trying to figure out whether the disturbing changes in her little boy are linked to an ominous sinkhole deep in the forest near her home.

I just want to know the mystery behind what happened to the poor boy – and why he (if indeed that is him), is now very much into eating live spiders while completely unfazed.

Then again, there is my long-standing aversion to horror movies, because I like a good restful sleep. We’ll see how far I get with this one.

Steve Wall, Eoin Macken, Sarah Hanly, James Cosmo, Kati Outinen and David Crowley also star.
