Standing Up For Sunny is a comedy/drama/romance about Travis, an isolated guy with cerebral palsy who’s railroaded into helping an unassertive comedienne.
Directed by Steven Vidler, what Travis didn’t expect was to find love and acceptance through stand up comedy.
This reminds me a little bit of Ode To Joy (2019). I’m therefore in for the story of acceptance, love and of course, the comedy.
Felix Williamson, Megan Smart, Kathleen O’Dwyer, Philippa Northeast, Jade Ryan, Samantha Skelton, Izaak Love, Rachael Leahcar, Dirk Nagel, Bronte Kellam-Pearson and Akram Joseph also star.

RJ looks so familiar but I don’t know why.
I think he was in Breaking bad. 🤓
RJ Mitte is quite a good actor.. sadly he faces a double challenge by being truly handicapped and a young actor. But he really does well with his challenges and glad to see that here as well. Will try to find this one and check it out.:)
You’re absolutely right. Even though I don’t remember his previous work very well. I certainly don’t remember thinking negatively about his performance.
