A new instalment of the Adonis Creed story is coming in 2023, and this time it’s a face-off between childhood friends.
Starring Michael B. Jordan (also the director), Tessa Thompson, Florian Munteanu and Jonathan Majors; Majors plays Creed’s childhood friend/former boxing prodigy with a point to make.
I don’t recall much about what happened in the last Creed movie, Well, except that a fight was very likely won by Jordan’s character. Still, I somehow wasn’t expecting a new instalment. How silly of me!
Since boxing doesn’t generally call to me, I’m drawn to watch this to experience what I believe to be Jordan’s directorial debut. I’m a fan of Thompson and Majors as well, so there’s also that.
Do you find yourself drawn to Creed III at all? If so, what are you most curious and or excited about?
Selenis Leyva, Thaddeus J. Mixson, Phylicia Rashad, Spence Moore II, Tony Bellew, Michelle Davidson, Jude Wells, Jessica McCaskill, Leah Haile and Candice Tracy Ross also star.
Creed III Release Dates: March 3rd, 2023 (US)…
Happy Film Loving

I loved the other two Creed films, but caveat, Rocky will not be in this one. The decision was made by all to let Creed fly on his own, literally and figuratively with Stallone’s blessing to the film and Jordan’s direction. Should be good, I hope
Ah, yes. I think I recall Rocky being unwell in the last film. And since this is set 7 years later, it all makes sense.
Hopefully Creed III will prove as worthy to you as the other two films. 🤞🤞
I think there’s a good chance. 🤓
MBJ is on a literal roll, and he knows this role to the fullest, so I can’t imagine it sucking. I think Stallone wanted Balboa to bow out gracefully and leave it alone from Creed II. II was interesting with Creed vs. the son of Ivan Drago and it came off really well despite the ludicrousness of it at face value. Jordan knows how to play his audience with his roles. Bring it!
I love the positivity. You’re clearly a true fan. 🤓
It looks like MBJ and Stallone have given it all a lot of thought and consideration, which is great. I must admit that this new story for Creed III does feel like a natural progression, rather than something that’s obviously forced. Okay, I think I’m ready! 😁
Also the plot of Creed III reminds me of Rocky V, but far less hokey. It looks like this will pulled off the right way,
The ‘far less hokey’ part is a very good sign indeed; and is perhaps more evidence of the care taken with the story.
I’m ready too! Boom!
😁 🥳
This one looks really good – thanks. 😎
Very promising indeed, I agree. And of course, it’s my pleasure. 😊
I don’t usually take in boxing movies, and haven’t had an interest in either the much-later Rocky or the new Creed films. Love Michael B., and I’m sure he’s phenomenal in these. Good trailer.
I actually haven’t watched any of the earlier Rocky films either. But, generally I have enjoyed these MBJ Creed movies. I appreciate how they seem to dive into the character more and don’t focus predominantly on the fight scenes. That’s not to say that the fight sequences aren’t very well choreographed. 🤓 I’m glad you enjoyed the trailer, especially if that’s as far as you take the experience.
I’m from Philly, and we “gave birth” to Rocky. Even after all these years, the franchise is still front and center here. Saw the first 3 with Sly (more than once) and just got weary of it all. Because MBJ is in these Creed movies, I probably should at least see the first one.
That’s quite a beautiful thing, for a movie to unite people like that. One day soon perhaps, the mood will strike and there you will be watching Creed. 😁
I haven’t seen any of the Creed, but they are on my list. I liked the first and the last Rocky, but honestly, I can’t remember watching any others. Probably I’ve seen at least parts of the 2nd one on TV at some point.
This reminded me to bump up the first Creed on my watchlist. 🙂
I can’t recall watching a whole Rocky movie except the Creed ones. It’s one of those movies I know I should watch, but it will likely take me being at a friend’s home, where it’s already on and they insist it’s worth watching. Still you never know. I might just post about an old Rocky movie next week. 😁
I remembered only parts of the original before watching it as an adult. It’s surprisingly good for such a young actor/screenwriter. Check the trivia page on IMDb – pretty amazing background.
Damn, when you say ‘surprisingly good for such a young actor/screenwriter,’ now I’m even more curious. Thanks for the IMDb recommendation.
