A historical crime/drama set in the 1920s is the latest from Martin Scorsese, Robert De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio.
Killers of the Flower Moon focuses on the relationship between the United States and its indigenous people, especially after members of the Osage tribe are mysteriously murdered, leading to an investigation involving F.B.I director J. Edgar Hoover.
I’ll start by addressing the humongous elephant in the room, following the above potentially confusing introductory paragraphs. Killers of the Flower Moon will not feature Dicaprio reprising his role as Hoover, as per the 2011 film, J. Edgar. He’s playing Ernest Burkhart and only Ernest Burkhart.
Now that we’ve cleared that up, and my giggles have dissipated, I’m intrigued by the smarts referred to at 0:22 in this trailer. I’m also very curious to see the evolution of Dicaprio and Gladstone’s characters.
Dark history is certainly what we’re in for with this one. As such, the question is, will you be ready to see this story told by such brilliant filmmakers? If so, how are you feeling about sitting through the 3.26-hour run time?
Lily Gladstone, Jesse Plemons, John Lithgow, Cara Jade Myers, Jillian Dion, Jason Isbell, Tantoo Cardinal, Brendan Fraser, Janae Collins, William Belleau, Sturgill Simpson, Louis Cancelmi, Jason Isbell and Scott Shepherd also star

Just read the book – amazing story I knew nothing about
Beth is the name of the book the same as the movie?
‘Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FB’ Authored by American journalist David Grann.
Thank you for the title, Gia!
You’re super welcome. 🤓
yes, it is –
I’d heard the title of the book a few times and knew it to be an incredible story. Sound like it needed the 3.26 hour run time.
yes, there is so much to the story
Tough trailer to watch. I will see it because I want to know the story, no matter how heinous it will be. I owe the victims that much. So funny how we never learned about The Osage Tribe, the Boarding Schools, or history like Tulsa in 1921 in school, and how strongly the racist elements in the now want to prevent these acts of evil in US history from being taught in schools.
I agree. Definitely a story worth telling. Helps people to see the warning signs of such atrocities when the powers that be try to do similar things.
I’m very glad this is available to see on Apple TVPlus as well as in the cinema because something tells me the pause button is going to be used for reasons other than the 3:26 hour running time.
I agree with you, Gia.
This looks intense, thanks for putting it on my radar!
Intense is exactly right. I’ll be mentally preparing before watching this one. And I won’t be afraid to use the pause button. 😊
