Sing Sing is a new drama about a theatre group who escape the reality of incarceration through drama. Specifically by staging a play with a cast that includes actors who have been incarcerated.
Colman Domingo (If Beale Street Could Talk (2018), Clarence Maclin, Paul Raci and Sean Dino Johnson star; while Greg Kwedar co-writes and directs.
As a fan of drama the subject, and all its powers, I find this trailer very moving. It’s the kind of trailer that was always going to affect most people, thanks in part to how beautifully it’s edited. Add the fact that it’s a story about people who dedicated themselves to lifting others, and, oh, wait; are my eyeballs suddenly ‘sweating?’
Domingo is great, of course. I’m excited to see how the characters find themselves transformed. After all, getting to be creative generally has a lot more to offer the participant than just fun.

👏👏
Amen! 😊 That part really got me.
A sense of purpose, behind bars or not, can make miracles happen. Powerful trailer that had me reaching for the kleenex. I know I’ve seen Domingo in other things and think he’s a great actor.
Amen to all of that. It’s always beautiful to see people living in their purpose especially when it has a truly positive impact on others.

This looks awesome, definitely on my list! 👍
Excellent! We must get the tissue boxes ready.
This is a must see for me!
Good plan. I think we’ll need to be ready with hydration on the day of viewing.
