Super/Man – The Christopher Reeve Story is a new documentary about the man who played many people’s favourite Superman.
From directors Ian Bonhôte and Peter Ettedgui; the film features Glenn Close, Susan Sarandon and many more who knew Reeve; including his family and friends, as we learn the story of Reeve, his work, the twists and turns of his life and his legacy.
For some of us, Christopher Reeve is the first actor we saw in the Superman role. He’s actually the third actor to play the character in a live-action on-screen production.
I’m one of the people who watched and enjoyed all four of his Superman films. I also heard a little about some of the inspiring work he decided to do after his tragic accident. I feel ready to learn more about this extraordinary human. One who was tireless when helping to lift others.
Unsurprisingly, writing this post has me dreaming about dropping everything to begin rewatching all of Reeve’s Superman movies. Namely, Superman (1978), Superman II (1980), Superman III (1983) and Superman IV: The Quest for Peace (1987)). I’ll likely do that very soon – especially if my recent journey into watching twenty to thirty-year-old films continues going well.
Super/Man – The Christopher Reeve Story Release Dates: September 21st, 2024 (US), November 1st, 2024 (UK)…
Happy Film Loving,

I’ve missed out on this Saga! Sounds like a Super time👊🦸🏻♂️
There’s still time if you’re curious enough. I didn’t see it at the cinema, but at home on television with my siblings.
I could def marathon this.
A great way to spend some free time, for sure. 😊
I will admit my eyes were not dry after this trailer.
I knew he was active after his accident, but not to what extent. He truly was a superhuman.
I had the same reaction. Except I didn’t mention my boohooing this time in case of a permanent reputation as ‘the guaranteed crier.’ It’s really too late for that to be fair. 😁
😭😂
Well since I was a teenager I was fighting the tradition “man don’t (openly) cry” and I was lucky to grow up in a family that wasn’t a taboo. My mom was a big crybaby when it came to emotional moments in books, movies, weddings… so if it hits me in the feels I let it run. 😂
That’s wonderful! May more people (especially men) learn and accept that it’s healthy to cry.
I’d also like to add that just like other bodily functions that we generally obey during appropriate moments; when the signal says ‘tears ought to be released’ arrives, we must obey and release them. It’s key for general wellbeing.’ ‘Doktor’ Gloria has spoken! 😁🤓
I cannot wait to see this . my brother worked summers on Mackinac Island where he filmed Somewhere in Time and said he was kind and friendly to everyone
I love that so much! It’s always great to learn that the people we don’t personally know, who appear to be kind, actually are.😊
I didn’t know they made a movie about him, I’m sure it will be inspiring. I too grew up watching Reeves as Superman, he was the best!
I know, right? I love pleasant trailer surprises like this. 😊🥂
He’s my Superman too, definitely going to watch this; thanks!
High five to that! 🖐
And you’re super welcome. 🤓
He will always be the BEST Superman. ❤️
Absolutely! He certainly embodied the extraordinary both on and off the screen.
Reeve was really the best Superman, the one who truly understood it and I love to see him smile and doing some nice jokes. He was a great actor and the best Superman.
Super/man, super/human. I like it. Thank goodness for the people who embody such attributes so well. We all need inspiration, after all.
