Read my spoiler-free movie review of The Diplomat Season 2 (2024).

The first look at what is coming for season two of Netflix’s highly praised political drama/comedy/thriller, The Diplomat just landed.

Keri Russell returns as Kate Wyler, a career diplomat who finds herself in a high-profile job for which she’s ill-suited. A placement that has repercussions for both her marriage and political future.

Well, my Thursday is officially made because my favourite show of 2023 just released an exciting new teaser trailer. There’s also the sight of Allison Janney, a great addition to the cast.

I’m ready to see Janney bring her special magic to a show already bursting at the seams with high-calibre acting talent. And yes, I yelped with joy, more than once when I realised the lady turning around was her.

Have you already seen season one? Treat yourself if you haven’t yet, and be glad you’ll only have to wait less than two months for the new season.

Anyone else get the hint that Janney and Russells characters aren’t going to be the best of friends?

Created by Debora Cahn; Rufus Sewell, David Gyasia, Ali Ahn, Rory Kinnear, Ato Essandoh, Pearl Mackie, Jess Chanliau and Tim Delap also star.

The Diplomat Season 2 Release Date: October 31st, 2024 (US & UK), Netflix…

Happy Film Loving,

  1. I have not seen the first season. After The Americans, I needed some break from Keri. 😉
Honestly, I’m currently watching House of the Dragon (S1), Boondocks (S1), Why Women Kill (S2), Beacon 23 (S2), Yellowstone (S4), Interview with a Vampire (S1), Home Economics (S3), Master of Sex (S1), 3 Body Problem (S1), Cobra Kai (S6), Terminator Zero (S1)…

      1. As a kid I had to have 3 books on my nightstand because I wanted to have choice of different genres depending on my mood.

      1. Nice jab! 😀

I’m embarrassed about how many reviews I have pending. I usually do some quick notes on most movies and some series right after I see them, but then I can’t seem to find the time to sit down and write in peace. I’m thinking to deliberately focus on shorter reviews to mitigate this issue. When it comes to series, I would do a season pass or even the whole series, which is another pending challenge. 😅

      2. Writing turns relaxation into stress, often. Every time I try to review a series, I am only able to review the first episode and then I lose patience with my writing haha
