The first trailer with David Corenswet as the new Clark Kent/Superman is upon us.
Directed by James Gunn, and with Nicolas Hoult as Lex Luthor, plus Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, we’ll get to watch Superman grapple with his heritage and human upbringing while being the embodiment of truth and justice.
Isabela Merced, Frank Grillo, Alan Tudyk and Nathan Fillion are among the key cast.
It just occurred to me that a big part of the reason why Captain America is my Favourite Marvel Superhero is that his character and attributes remind me of the superhero who first stole my heart, Superman.
I still haven’t seen the Henry Cavil Superman films yet. My schedule was too Marvel-heavy around that time. However, I’m looking forward to what new energy Corenswet will bring. Based on this teaser trailer, I’d say things are looking good, even though there seems to be A LOT going on.
Skyler Gisondo, Milly Alcock, Will Reeve, Wendell Pierce, Sean Gunn, Mikaela Hoover, Pruitt Taylor Vince, Anthony Carrigan, Terence Rosemore, Christopher McDonald and Loren Qualls also star.

The Movie My Life 
I love what I see. It seems to me to watch the true Superman I always loved, the one from the comics that can really bring hope and love to humanity. I trust James Gunn and I really wish the best for this movie.
Fingers, toes and everything crossed for a great result. 🤓 Superman may actually be immune to the superhero movie fatigue that set in for me a while ago.

Me too! Absolutely, they were a really nice pair. I liked the series because it was very positive. I think the more recent Superman films have been very serious. I think that Superman is supposed to smile. 🙂
Something tells me that this new movie is going to be quite serious. But we may be pleasantly surprised, knowing the director’s reputation for humour. He did direct the Guardians of the Galaxy films, after all.

I’m with you! The trailer moved me to tears I was so moved and so inspired by it. Which may sound silly…but that’s who Superman’s supposed to be! So I’m really excited to already be getting those feels from this trailer. I am so ready for this new era of DC films to begin :).
I love that for you, and it’s not silly to be moved like that. 🤓 As for the new DC era, we’ll have to cross our fingers since superhero movie fatigue is real for many. I guess whatever gets made in the new era will just have to be super undeniable.
Lastly, I was moved to tears, too, this week because I rewatched the trailers for Daniel Craig’s Bond films. 😭 All happy tears, thankfully. Not all the films were perfect, of course, but what a gift to have experienced it! 😁
