In Practical Magic 2, Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman return as two witch sisters cursed with never finding lasting love.
This long-awaited sequel to Practical Magic (1998) has the sisters on a mission to confront dark secrets and sacrifice for each other in an attempt to change their fates.
Directed by Susanne Bier, additional key cast includes Dianne Wiest, Maisie Williams, Stockard Channing and Liz Kingsman.
I don’t remember whether or not I’ve watched Practical Magic, the original film, but I’ll happily do it so I can take in the fun that this new sequel seems to promise.
The premise is quite compelling. Naturally, I’ll be wanting to see the curse lifted and to watch Bullock and Kidman have fun performing together.

I just watched Practical Magic last year, so it’s not something I’m attached to. However, I am intrigued by how well they recaptured the look and feel of the original.
I get that. In addition to the cast, the look and feel are appealing to me as well.

Agreed. It’s always great to see all the reputable main cast return to a project. And equally concerning when few to none return.
I saw it when it came out, and I remember liking it, but I don’t recall many details. Both leads were hot stuff at the time, although I think Bullock was higher on the celebrity list at the time. I still can’t believe it’s been almost 30 years since then. I believe I saw it once more in the early 2000s. 😀
