  1. Didn’t like the first movie. The sequel was an unexpected surprise that I did enjoy, but any expectations I had for the third installment went away with that peeing joke.

    1. I hear you about the peeing joke. It didn’t land too well with me either. Especially since I recently rewatched the beginning of Jason Momoa’s Aquaman just 30 minutes before this trailer, and that too has a baby peeing joke.

  2. LOL, yeah, the bodily fluids jokes are a double-edged sword and can go either way, depending on the context. I haven’t decided yet if that’s my jam, but I did chuckle at the escalation progression.
For the record, I enjoyed diaper changing and felt like a cool dad when I finally got it down with my first, and the second one was a walk in the park.
I liked the first two movies, especially because they’re not a copy of Shrek-type jokes; rather, they try to be their own thing. My youngest is an “angry bird” himself, but we can’t make fun of his temper, because he’s also sensitive. Parenting is like balancing, spinning, and juggling acts all at once. 😅

    1. That’s the case with old jokes; it’s all in the execution as to whether they’re still good years later or not.
Sounds like you were a cool dad, indeed. One that’s balancing a lot more than the basics. 🤓

I agree, there’s something charmingly different about these films.
