El Camino – A Breaking Bad Movie sees the return of Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul), and is, as the title suggests, a follow-up to the award-winning TV series Breaking Bad.

Written/directed by Vince Gilligan, El Camino – A Breaking Bad Movie follows the escape of a kidnapped man and his quest for freedom.

I had had no idea this was coming. For everyone who’s been meaning to watch Breaking Bad, the series, but still hasn’t yet, now may be a good time, if you want to avoid huge spoilers. That’s if it’s not already too late, of course.

I like how this movie sounds like it could be a nice, long chase sequence, because I love those. Perhaps the next trailer will be Jesse getting away as fast as possible.

In new Jake Scott-directed drama American Woman, Sienna Miller is a woman left to raise her young grandson after her daughter goes missing.

I’m interested in Miller’s performance and to find out if my suspicions about how this story is going to end are correct.

As usual, I’d much rather be surprised by how things unfold.

Will Sasso, Amy Madigan, Sky Ferreira, Alex Neustaedter and Kentucker Audley also star.

Emily Ratajkowski, Aaron Paul and Riccardo Scamarcio are the stars of Welcome Home.

Directed by George Ratliff, this one is a thriller about a couple on a weekend at a vacation rental home in the Italian countryside. A pair who fall victim to the homeowner’s sinister plans, and find their attempt to repair their relationship derailed.

I’m not sure how good this one will be but I do find myself quite curious.

There’s also the fact that this movie is set in the beautiful Italian countryside, a part of Italy I last saw on screen and adored in season two of Master of None (2017).

Central Intelligence is a watchable action/comedy because of the fantastic dynamic between Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson’s characters.

As for how believable I found the movie in regards to the way some of the story and action unfolded, let’s just say my disbelief was hardly ever fully suspended.

Nevertheless, i say watch it for the light entertainment and humour. Just don’t expect to be convinced by everything that takes place.

Jason Bateman’s small part is a highlight, as was the message about bullying.

The 9th Life of Louis Drax is a new thriller starring Jamie Dornan, Aaron Paul and Sarah Gadon.

Directed by Alexandre Aja and based on the novel by Liz Jensen, a young boy’s mysterious near-fatal fall and what happens to the psychologist who works with him is at the centre of the story.

After watching the trailer, I really want to know if the boy was pushed. I’d also like to know who the bad guy really is. Aaron Paul’s character or Jamie Dornan’s? Or, the mother played by Sarah Gadon?

Questions, questions…
