MY BLIND BROTHER (2016): The Thing I Liked…?

My Blind Brother is a movie about the relationship between two brothers (one of whom is blind) and how their lives are further complicated when a girl comes into the picture.

Starring Nick Kroll, Jenny Slate, Adam Scott and Zoe Kazan, I found My Blind Brother generally quite dull. It felt like a lesser version of a good movie about the relationship between two brothers (one of whom is blind) and how their lives are further complicated when a girl comes into the picture.

As you can imagine, sibling rivalry comes into play in this story but the general element of dull just reminded me that I’m unfortunately completely over watching Nick Kroll play ‘loser’ characters. Adult Beginners (2014) was quite enough in that regard, thank you. Looking on the bright side as one must, I did find Adam Scott mildly entertaining as the entitled blind brother. But that’s it.

BLACK MASS (2015) Trailer 2, Looking forward To The Humour

Black Mass (2015), Johnny Depp

Trailer 2 for Black Mass, one of the year’s most promising films is here.

Featuring the brilliant acting talents of Johnny Depp, Benedict Cumberbatch and Dakota Johnson, to name just a few, the story of James ‘ Whitey’ Bulger, south Boston’s most infamous violent criminal is looking like something no true film fan is going to want to miss.

After seeing this trailer, what’s suddenly very intriguing is the female characters. Particularly how much denial they were likely in. I guess we’ll all find out in 5/6 months. Something tells me that the soundtrack to this movie  is going to be good.

Happy Black Mass 🙂

Watch it and understand…

May the finished product be as amazing as this brilliant trailer suggests.

Happy Black Mass 🙂

THE SECRET LIFE OF WALTER MITTY (2013): Inspiration For Living

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (2013), Ben Stiller
The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (2013), Ben Stiller

Walter Mitty is a man who has numerous vivid day dreams about everything he wishes he could be at a given moment but never is.

Directed by funny man, Ben Stiller, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty takes you along on a journey that leads to a point where Walter, as the movie poster suggests, stops dreaming and starts living.

This is definitely an entertaining watch and becomes most interesting and fun from the moment Walter meets the bearded and intoxicated giant (one of my favourite characters). It makes sense that the film becomes very interesting at this point because it’s soon after Walter decides to be adventurous, brave and start living.

For those who realise / feel like they haven’t done much that’s considered noteworthy and want to change that, Stiller’s movie is great inspiration to formulate a plan and take action

You’ll laugh as you watch this fun adventure / drama with several humorous characters to enjoy particularly my personal favourite, the bearded and intoxicated giant.

One of my own personal day (and night) dreams was about going to New York. I’ve been forever curious, so finally  making that particular day – and night dream come true was super.

Happy The Secret Life of Walter Mitty 🙂
