A Tale Of Love & Darkness is the new drama starring/directed by Natalie Portman and based on the memoir of Amos Oz.

Oz is a journalist, writer and advocate of a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The film tells the story of Oz who grew up in Jerusalem in the years before Israeli statehood with Arieh.

The subject matter is interesting, and I’m a Natalie Portman fan, which means I want to watch this. However, I’m not sure if it’ll be as good as I’d love it to be.

Not to judge a book by its cover, of course. However, this trailer edit and the textual interruptions (not the subtitles) in a rather ill-advised font have left something to be desired.

I was hoping to be more excited by Portman’s directorial debut than I am. May this be better than Jane Got A Gun (2016), the last movie I watched that she starred in.

COLLIDING DREAMS (2016): New Trailer For Documentary On Zionism & The Israel/Palestine Conflict…

Award winning filmmakers Joseph Dorman and Oren Rudavsky are the team behind Colliding Dreams, a new and well titled documentary about the controversial movement of Zionism and the Israel-Palestinian conflict.

Having not watched many documentaries on the film’s subject matter in the past, based on this trailer, it looks like Colliding Dreams is going to be both disturbing and informative. I say bring on the education.
