Based on the books by Leigh Bardugo; Shadow and Bone is a new fantasy/adventure about a young woman with newfound powers who tries to save her land from a powerful, evil force.

Jessie Mei Li, Ben Barnes, Archie Renaux and Freddy Carter are among the key cast.

Shadow and Bone is a title I’d heard before but knew nothing about. Even though very little is revealed in this teaser trailer, the quality that hints at an epic story is the reason I’m intrigued.

By the end f this trailer, I couldn’t help but think of how much fun it was at the height of The Hunger Games. Perhaps this will be as epic and near-enough as all-consuming as that.

Amita Suman, Simon Sears, Kit Young, Julian Kostov, Danielle Galligan, Balázs Megyeri, Daisy Head, Sujaya Dasgupta, Caroline Boulton, Tom Fyans, Jim High, James Littlewood, David Wurawa and Elizabeth Rider also star.

Shadow and Bone Release Dates: April 23rd, 2020 (US & UK)…

WESTWORLD (2016): New Trailer For HBO Series Starring Anthony Hopkins, Thandie Newton, Ed Harris…

Set at a futuristic theme park populated by artificial beings, HBO’s new sci-fi series, Westworld is inspired by Michael Crichton’s 1973 movie of the same name.

I’m not exactly the biggest  sci-fi fan but I’ve identified a number of reasons to get excited about Westworld. One of them is a cast list that includes well respected names like Anthony Hopkins, Jeffrey Wright, Thandie Newton, Ed Harris and Evan Rachel Wood. Another big reason is the writers who are husband and wife team Lisa Joy Nolan and Jonathan Nolan. That’s  Jonathan Nolan, brother to Christopher Nolan and co-screenwriter of some of the best action / sci-fi  movies of recent years; – The Dark Knight (2008)Inception (2010) and Interstellar (2014),  to name just three…

Trailer 1

I’m already in love with  Westworld  because of the reasons above – including the trailer. Needless to say I’ll be tuning in.

I’m just hoping that when the time comes, the show will end in a reasonably timely manner. You know,  before it becomes annoyingly tedious and not very good… for example, as much as I don’t completely dislike Game Of Thrones, I feel as though it needs to be wrapped up already.

Westworld starts in October 2016 on HBO.
