Bill Camp | The Movie My Life

In new eight-part Apple TV series, Presumed Innocent, Jake Gyllenhaal is Rusty Sabich; the main suspect following the horrificmurder of one of his teammates.

Additional key cast includes Ruth Negga, Bill Camp, Peter Sarsgaard Lily Rabe and Kingston Rumi Southwick.

The stellar ensemble cast and the possibility of a great story are the reasons I’m curious. I’m also looking forward to watching Gyllenhaal getting to act opposite his brother-in-law, Sarsgaard.

Rusty is looking mighty guilty to me at this point. Let’s hope that the story is as tense and fun-to watch unfold as this trailer suggests.

In Crown Heights, Colin Warner is a young man wrongfully convicted of murder, and his best friend Carl King devotes his life to proving Warner’s innocence.

Written and directed by Matt Ruskin; Lakeith Stanfield, Nestor Carbonell, Brian Tyree Henry and Zach Grenier star.

This one I’ll watch for three reasons. Firstly I’m desperate for this story to end well – because so often in these circumstances it does not.

Second, what a dream to have a friend like Carl King. He’s surely the best kind of friend anyone could have. Third, following Get Out (2017), I’d just love to see a character played by Stanfield who actually escapes his captors. That would make me happy indeed.

Bill Camp, Gbenga Akinnagbe, Yul Vazquez, Hunter Emery Josh Pais and Natalie Paul also star.
