Ad Astra (2019), Brad Pitt, 20th Century Fox

Directed and co-written by James Gray; starring Brad Pitt, Ruth Negga, Tommy Lee Jones and Liv Tyler, Ad Astra is the story of an Army Corps engineer (Pitt) who’s searching across the galaxy for his father; a man who disappeared twenty years prior.

He’s also on a mission to unravel a mystery that threatens the survival of our planet.

It’s the very likeable Mr Pitt, a promise of good visuals and what looks like a moving story. Everything to like.

The father/son ‘love story’ part makes me think of Interstellar (2014). I’m sure the films are quite different, but I look forward to finding out how much.

Kimberly Elise, Loren Dean, LisaGay Hamilton and John Ortiz also star.

Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, Quentin Tarantino’s latest film starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Al Pacino and Margot Robbie has a new trailer.

Ready or not, here is a 2.5-minute tease of a crime/drama/thriller about a TV actor and his stunt double, as they embark on making a name for themselves in the film industry.

So far, I must admit that Once Upon A Time In Hollywood has not quite garnered the same kind of excitement within me as Tarantino’s previous films. I blame that on this trailer appearing to be a slight change of pace/style compared to Tarantino’s other films. Nevertheless, I still can’t wait to see how he’ll keep things interesting. I mean, the man has never before let us down, right?

Once Upon A Time In Hollywood (2019), Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, Sony Pictures Entertainment

Set during the Charles Manson murders in 1969 in Los Angeles, a TV actor and his stunt double embark on an odyssey to make a name for themselves in the film industry.

Tarantino’s style and the cast are all the reason I need.

Also, am I correct in thinking that this is Pitt and DiCaprio’s first movie together?

Dakota Fanning, Al Pacino, Timothy Olyphant, Kurt Russell, James Marsden, Emile Hirsch, Damian Lewis and Burt Reynolds also star.

Wonderful French actress Marion Cotillard and Brad Pitt have a new movie.

Set in 1942 during the Second World War and directed by Robert Zemeckis, at the centre of Allied is the relationship between Marianne Beausejour, a French Resistance Fighter (Cotillard), and Intelligence Officer Max Vatan (Pitt)

Looks like Mr. and Mrs. Smith (2007) on a higher level, and maybe even more badass.

Lizzy Caplan, Matthew Goode, Raffey Cassidy and Charlotte Hope also star.
