THE ALTO KNIGHTS (2025): New Trailer From Robert De Niro, Debra Messing, Cosmo Jarvis…

Directed by Barry Levinson, The Alto Knights is a new biography/crime/drama starring Robert De Niro, Cosmo Jarvis and Debra Messing.

Levinson’s story focuses on Vito Genovese and Frank Costello, a pair of Italian Americans who run two separate crime families in the mid-20th century, and specifically, one’s attempt to assassinate the other.

It’s always interesting when an actor plays two characters who have to interact with each other face-to-face, isn’t it? The mind boggles at all that has to happen to ensure it all looks natural.

This is precisely the kind of movie that should come with a good long look behind the scenes. Also, it’s the great Robert De Niro who always impresses. Forever a joy for me to watch his skills in action.

Are you also looking forward to Alto Knights?

Kathrine Narducci, Matt Servitto, Louis Mustillo, Robert Arce, Wallace Langham, Carrie Lazar, Belmont Cameli, Joseph Moreland and Bob Glouberman also star.

Co-written/co-directed by Alex Garland and Ray Mendoza, Warfare is an action/drama/docudrama about an ex-Navy Seal’s real-life experiences during the war in Iraq.

Joseph Quinn, Will Poulter, Noah Centineo, Cosmo Jarvis, Finn Bennett and Kit Connor are among the key cast.

This looks quite terrifying. It also seems to have that good The Hurt Locker (2008) quality and the promise of fun male banter, the latter of which I can be quite partial to. Blame it on having brothers.

I also have to admit that I’m already worried because the trailer might be dropping hints about who may not make it to the end. Fingers crossed, I’m wrong.

Finn Bennett, Michael Gandolfini, Charles Melton, Henrique Zaga, Taylor John Smith, D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai, Adain Bradley, Alex Brockdorff, Evan Holtzman and Jake Lampert also star.

Set in rural Ireland, Calm With Horses is a new drama starring Cosmo Jarvis as Douglas ‘Arm’ Armstrong, the feared enforcer for the drug-dealing Devers family. Things get especially challenging when Arm’s loyalties are tested by being asked to kill for the first time.

Directed by Nick Rowland, additional key cast includes Barry Keoghan, Ned Dennehy and Niamh Algar.

This is not loyalty. It’s servitude

I rather like the above line. Particularly since I’m sure that it’s both servitude and loyalty in Arm’s case.

I’ll be watching to find out what Arm decides and precisely how he plans to execute, no pun intended.

Anthony Welsh, David Wilmot, Hazel Doupe, Lee Byford, Simone Kirby, Roisin O’Neill, Ryan McParland, Toni O’Rourke, Stephen McDade, Liam Carney and John Paul O’Driscoll also star.

LADY MACBETH (2016): New Trailer From Florence Pugh, Cosmo Jarvis and Christopher Fairbank…

Lady Macbeth is a new 19th century period drama about a young bride who’s sold into marriage to a middle-aged man.

Directed by William Oldroyd and starring Florence Pugh, Cosmo Jarvis and Christopher Fairbank, the film is based on the book Lady Macbeth of the Mtsensk by Nikolai Leskov.

If anything is going to bring out ‘the Lady Macbeth’ in anyone, being sold into marriage to a much older man will certainly increase the likelihood.

I like this trailer because it’s unlike most. I love it because a woman is taking charge of her destiny. I also feel as though I’m going to adore this film because of the dialogue.

Florence Pugh is pretty much ‘Lady Pugh’ in my mind after this point. It’s a title I wish to bestow upon her, for she shows much promise; talented and arresting as are my other favourites… Kate Winslet, Viola Davis, Charlize Theron, to name just a few. I can tell that you agree.

Lady Macbeth Release Dates: June 2nd, 2017 (US)…
