Four teenagers are sucked into Jumanji‘s world, pitted against rhinos, black mambas and an endless variety of jungle traps and puzzles.

To return to planet Earth with their lives, they simply have to beat the game.

Directed by Jake Kasden, the stars of Jumanji – Welcome To The Jungle are Kevin Hart, Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black and Karen Gillan.

All I remember about Robin Williams’ Jumanji (1995) is that the characters sported khaki attire and ran away from stuff in the jungle. That’s it.

I’m glad that this trailer looks very promising. I’m most excited about the humour.

Nick Jonas, Missi Pyle and Rhys Darby also star.

What I like most about Moana is that it’s a well-told story about a young girl who’s brave, strong and courageous enough to follow her heart.

Set in Ancient Polynesia and starring Auli’i Cravalho, Dwayne Johnson, Jermaine Clement and  Nicole Scherzinger; I also like Moana because it scores quite highly on the ‘animated cuteness‘ factor, particularly baby Moana.

Cinderella (2015) remains my favourite Disney movie, in large part because of how much I enjoyed the recent live-action remake.

If I had to choose between Brave (2012) and Moana for the preferred Disney story about the adventures of a courageous young girl, Brave definitely wins. I just found the characters more entertaining, and the story personally more relatable and engaging. Nevertheless, I say watch Moana because it’s good. Who knows, it may actually end up being your favourite.

I haven’t watched any of the furious films since the original but I have two reasons that make me more likely to get back into them. Charlize Theron and director,  F. Gary Gray. We’ll see how that goes.

Read my spoiler-free movie review of  Baywatch (2017).

Zac Efron, Dwayne Johnson and Priyanka Chopra are the stars of Baywatch; the new Seth Gordon-directed comedy based on the very successful 90s TV series of the same name.

This new version of Baywatch is categorised as a comedy, whereas the TV show was an action/drama. I sure hope that bodes well for the end result.

My fingers are firmly crossed because I want this movie to be good so I can reminisce about some of my youth with a smile on my face.

Lee Hodge, Alexandra Daddario, Kelly Rohrbach, Ilfenesh Hadera and Jon Bass also star.
